Pokemongenius rates this game: 4/5 A remake of Castlevania Rondo of Blood/Castlevania Dracula X and this remake features updated graphics that will impress beloved fans. Fans may be turned off from the new voice acting for Richter and other characters however the new presentation and updated soundtrack is worth going through the game again.
Though this game is focused on the remaster of Rondo of Blood, the game includes the original version, Castlevania Symphony of the Night, and a previously unreleased Japanese title. Symphony is a translated port of the Saturn version of the game so this means the inclusion of the Maria Mode and other extras that the original Playstation version did not have. However just like the remake, symphony has some new changes that might not be appreciated by fans however this game as a whole is worth playing even for the most critical fans.
I was wondering if anyone ever attempted to convert Rondo of Blood into a VC with the English patch. Strangely enough when Konami released this as a VC over here, they did not bother to translate it at all.
Since then the fan made translation was completed, but I have no idea about how to go about converting a PC-Engine ISO into a VC. I know how to do roms for about ever other system, but am clueless when it comes to ISO conversions. Has this been attempted? Likewise has anyone attempted to convert any of the PC Engine CD translations over to VC such as Ys IV?
That is fantastic to hear, sadly the IRC channel is empty, even though I found an update in relation to it form no less than a month ago. I found a link that says everything has been pulled from Usenet (not that I have News Server access anyhow) and the one torrent link I found is gone too. Suck suck suck! Good to see that OrangeChicken is still putting stuff together though, I only wish I was in the loop so I could access their releases. EDIT: Someone was kind enough to up a direct link, found it!!
