It would appear that your phone is indeed blacklisted as per the Check Mend report. Placing your sim in another phone, it would appear, was only a temporary respite once it was inserted into your phone again. Did you actually take up the matter directly with Vodafone and inform them that your phone was blocked on multiple carriers?
Have you tried any other carriers sim cards in your phone? You may have to leave them in or reboot your phone to make sure that another sim does not just offer another temporary respite again.
Hi, I have the same problem and have read the 'Jelly Bean update - Dummies Guide' but cannot figure out where the problem lies. Click to expand.Hello and welcome to Android Forums spet2904! That is old firmware! I just checked the records for firmwares for CSC code FTM and they go back to October 2011 with a Gingerbread release, Android 2.3.5, of i9100BVKJ4.
So your firmware pre-dates even that! There have been 7 firmware updates on FTM since yours. I am guessing that the reason that you have not received them is for one of the reasons given in #1.5 of the. Possibly the phone was re-flashed prior to your receiving it. You can either take your phone to a Samsung Service Point and explain your situation and see if they will flash the latest Jelly Bean firmware for you or you can flash it yourself by following the instructions in #1.7 of the guide. Be advised that there is a possibility, depending on how your phone was originally unlocked, that upgrading the firmware could re-lock it.
