She was very keen in creative fields and remained active in cultural activities that led her to the world of acting. She started her career with a small screen in Bengali TV with the TV show called Saat Kahon, which was aired on DD Bangla. In fact, she did her debut when she was 17 years of age and also a student. Since then it was no looking back as she has done more than 30 TV shows in her career of a decade.

She then got another TV show called Pratiksha Ektu Bhalobashar wherein she played the lead role of Ananya aired at DD1. The show was a big hit, and she was applauded for her performance. Since then it was no looking back for the actress.

Some of her TV shows include Kon Shey Alor Swapno Niye, Sonar Horin, Ek Akasher Niche, Ekdin Pratidin, Kaal, Binni Dhaner Khoi, Hiyar Manje, Sadhak Bamakhyapa, Punyi Pukur, Amloki, and the current show Irabotir Chupkotha at Star Jalsa. She is playing the Titular Protagonist role called Iraboti Mitra. Her debut in films started with Bengali movies. The first one was Box No. 1313 released in 2008. She then bagged Hoyto Premer Jonno, which, however, remained unreleased. In 2012 she got her next movie Bhooter Bhabishyat where she played the role called Lachhmi.

Her other movies include Ek Mutho Chobi, Bela Seshe, Bhallu Sardar and Ogo Bodhu Sundari. Her recent movie in 2018 is the one called Maati where she played the character called Jiniya. Talking about her personal life, she is in a relationship with Saikat Baruri.
